My name is Thomas Douglas and I would like to tell you a little bit about the "all new" Anthony's Pizzeria right here in Bexley, Ohio. Everyday we take five simple ingredients and create a dough that is amazing! But this tradition began well before I came into the picture.
The art of pizza making was taught to my father Jim Douglas by Mario Scinicariello over 25 years ago. Mario perfected the best pizza dough I have ever tasted at his restaurant, Mario the Baker, in North Miami, Florida. He grew up in Connecticut and if you have ever lived on the east coast, visited the east coast, or heard how good the pizza is out east, then you are in for a real treat at Anthony's!
We continue to use this recipe everyday when we make our pizza dough. But pizza is more than just dough. We take the most perfect California Roma tomatoes to build our sauce. That is then topped with all natural artisanal cheese(Grande) and fresh cut vegetables. Premium sausage, pepperoni, and salami are sourced locally from Ezzo Sausage Company, a Bexley family owned business.
My parents, brother Michael, cousin Scotty and I would like to invite you to visit our family restaurant and try our pizza, subs and salads. They are truly special. You can find us on the corner of Main Street and Pleasant Ridge Avenue in lovely downtown Bexley, Ohio!
